If any concurrent transaction has modified any of these values, or even deleted the row, this statement again returns with zero updated rows. Hibernate then throws a StaleObjectStateException. This means two units of work may modify the same object concurrently, and a conflict is detected only if they both modify the same value-typed property (or a foreign key value).
